About

Me and my less-enthused young friend in Camalu, Mexico back in 2007 when I was first getting a taste of “living missionally”

Hi, I’m Whitney and I’m full-time staff with Epic Movement (a ministry of Cru) in Southern California!  I’ve been in Southern California since my tween-years (oh, so awkward!) and loved it so much I stayed to attend UC Irvine.  I graduated with a B.A. in Literary Journalism and after 17 months in “the work force,” answered God’s call to campus ministry in 2009.  Though God rescued this wayward heart over a decade ago, He continues to redeem, love, comfort, challenge, transform, rescue, forgive, restore (and so much more!) me daily.  In short, He’s THE BEST!

This blog is specifically for ministry partners and informing and updating you on ministry and life.  Though you may find it to be less like a list of prayer requests and more like a journal of a crazy-person, please trust that my primary goal IS to keep you “in the know” so you can continue to graciously lift students, fellow staff, and myself up to the Lord in prayer.  I’m so grateful for your faithful partnership in powerful prayer!

I have other interests and hobbies, too, that will somehow spill into my updates.  But that’s not what this blog is for.  I have personal sites that explore those “other” things (photography, writing, typography, tasty food), as well, that you are more than welcome to visit:  http://lifeatwork.tumblr.com.

Please note that though these are updates on my ministry with Epic Movement, they do not necessarily represent the opinions, persuasions, nor convictions of the organization of Epic Movement and Cru.  These are my personal thoughts and updates.

Thank you for visiting!  I praise God for all of you!
